Bloom's writing includes the best-seller Away, Come to Me; a National Book Award finalist, and A Blind Man Can See How Much I Love You, a National Book Critics Circle nominee. Bloom teaches creative writing at Yale and writes for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine and The Atlantic Monthly, among other publications.
